As Microsoft/JIO has not rolled out any Voice Call support for LTE enabled Windows Phones, it has upset a large no of Lumia phone users as this reduced their phone into a mere browsing/hotspot device. Unless your Windows phone have Voice Over LTE (VoLTE) support, Windows phone users cannot make any call using JIO sim, wasting precious free voice calls that come bundled with JIO 4G data plans. But you can bypass these restriction to a certain extend. To make calls using JIO SIM from LTE enabled LUMIA phones: Use Whatsapp call facility either video/voice call option to connect with any whatsapp user. As Whatsapp is a common app, it enable to make calls solving the issue to an extend. Disadvantage include, the receiver at the other end have to be online. Use apps like Viber or WePhone to make calls which can be downloaded from Microsoft Store. Although both are chargeable, Viber enable to connect freely with other Viber users.
